Notion 3.0 Announced at Make with Notion 2025

Over 1,500 of you joined us in San Francisco (and thousands more via livestream), to step into the next era of Notion. We’ve gone from pages, to databases, to now AI that can build and automate for you—welcome to Notion 3.0!

Some of our favorite moments from Make with Notion 2025:

  • Unveiling the brand-new Notion AI Agent

  • Seeing everyone’s reactions to Agent accessories + personalization (when in doubt, put a hat on it!)

  • An espresso bar (with matcha on the secret menu!)

  • Bringing creators together, including icons like Chloe Shih, Silicon Valley Girl, and Humphrey Yang

Seeing everyone this year reminded us why we built Notion in the first place: to give creators, builders and teams the tools to do their best work, in their own way. Keep scrolling for a full rundown of the updates we launched, plus how you can start using them in your own workflows!

Meet Your AI Agent

This is Notion’s biggest evolution yet. Think of your AI Agent as the teammate you’ve always wanted: the one who actually finishes the work, not just suggests what to do next. For creators, that means less time buried in admin and more time for taking your ideas across the finish line, focusing on creativity and connecting with your community.

Your Agent remembers your style, pulls what you need from across Notion (and beyond), and helps tackle multi-step tasks that used to have you hunched over your keyboard, eyes glazed for whole afternoons.

Here are some top use cases for creators where your Agent can step in and save you hours:

  • Content Strategy & Planning: Generate content calendars from trends, find competitor topic gaps, and create content briefs.

  • Script & Copy Writing: Draft scripts, captions, email newsletter copy, tailored for each platform.

  • Audience & Analytics: Track engagement patterns, analyze audience demos, and monitor brand sentiment.

  • Brand Partnerships: Organize collaboration opportunities, track deliverables, and create media kits automatically.

  • Research & Trends: Monitor what’s trending in your niche, surface partnership opportunities, and compile industry updates

  • Content Organization: Build searchable content libraries, centralize brand assets, and manage posting schedules.

Try out these prompts and watch Notion Agent do the work for you, right in your workspace:

Instagram Content Development

Prompt: “Plan a 2-week Instagram calendar using my Q&A notes, content ideas, and last month’s analytics.”

Agent steps: Pulls trending questions, drafts captions in brand voice, balances reels/carousels, and suggests cross-posts for Threads.

Blog Post Outlines

Prompt: “From recent meeting notes and the Remote Work research page, create a detailed blog outline with 5 external sources.”

Agent steps: Synthesizes notes, finds links, outputs outline + asset checklist.

Social Media Calendar

Prompt: “Create a 4-week LinkedIn calendar from blogs, release notes, and webinars. Link sources and avoid launch conflicts.”

Agent steps: Harvests content, drafts variations, proposes schedule.

Knowledge Base Audits

Keep evergreen docs fresh by having your Agent update links, restructure databases, and flag outdated content.

Copy Polishing

Polish captions and fine-tune scripts, and watch how your Agent matches your tone and tailors content to your audience!

Make Your Agent Unique to YOU

Your AI Agent isn’t just smart—it’s personal. As you work in Notion 3.0, your Agent builds a memory of your style. Yeah, you heard that right. This is one of the most (if not the most) advanced agent personalization experiences out there.

Customize your AI agent with:

  • a name, avatar, and accessories to match your personal vibe

  • personal context

  • preferences on structuring content

  • Your writing tone

  • Where you like tasks to live

  • And so much more…

Swap between models without losing context, and edit or reset memories anytime because it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. 🤓

Coming Soon: Custom Agents

At this year’s Make with Notion, we gave everyone a first look at something even bigger: Custom Agents. Soon, you’ll be able to spin up as many specialized Agents as you need running on automated schedules and triggers in the background. Your very own Charlie’s Angels of productivity: stylish, specialized, and always on a mission.

If you want to learn more about Custom Agents, sign up here.

We can’t wait to see how you put your AI Agents to the test. Whether they’re helping you wrangle brainstorm chaos, draft your next viral post, or just saving you from tab overload—we’ll be cheering you on as you make them part of your creative team!

If you couldn’t make it to San Francisco, we’ll be taking Make with Notion regional throughout the fall! Register for a showcase city near you.

Creator Meet-Up & Highlights

At the conference, we hosted a meetup with over 50 creators and friends from across the creator economy. It was incredible to see everyone in one space, connecting with new and old friends. The Bay Area creator community is truly so vibrant, and it showed us all how much more we need to show up in our HQ town.

We had Brett Dashevsky from Creator Economy NYC take over Notion’s IG Stories, run street interviews and capture the energy throughout the day as our social correspondent. One or more tripods may have been lost due to the Bay Area wind.

To wrap things up, here’s a look at the event captured by creators! Click through these posts to watch some highlights and behind-the-scenes fun.
