Introducing: AI Meeting Notes

We just wrapped up a week of hosting Café Notion at SXSW London, and are finally heading home (and catching up on sleep 😅). If you stopped by our booth and experienced one of our workshops, or just grabbed a coffee—let us know what you enjoyed the most! It was great to connect with our community in the UK and are looking forward to deepening our relationships in the future.

Last month, we launched AI Meeting Notes and it’s already becoming a favorite feature! In this issue, we’ll be sharing ideas on how you could use it as a creator, and not just in typical “work” moments. (Because yes, “meetings” can totally be solo brain dumps.)

We’re also testing out a new segment: quick tips from fellow creators. You loved the takeover in our last issue, so we’re spotlighting more voices from our creator community. This week, Kristen (@kbousq), aka your monetization coach bestie, is sharing a tip that’ll have you looking at brand deals a little differently.

AI Meeting Notes Just Launched

We just dropped AI Meeting Notes, and it does exactly what it sounds like.
You show up to your meeting. Hit start. Talk it out. Notion transcribes everything, gives you a clean summary, and even pulls out action items.

No more:

  • Rewatching Zoom recordings because you forgot what you said 🙃

  • Scrambling to take notes and remembering your action items

  • Digging through 5 docs to find where you wrote down that one idea

You can even pick different formats (sales call, team sync, etc.), and if your calendar’s connected, it pulls in all the context.

Honestly, even if you’re not in formal “meetings,” it’s great for brand calls, scripting, content brainstorms, or even just talking something out solo.

How to Use AI Meeting Notes as a Creator

  • Taking notes during weekly syncs with your team

  • Distill all of your ideas during an out-loud brain dumb

  • Summarize meetings with your friends or family to plan upcoming trips or fun activities

  • Ensure all deliverables are captured after onboarding calls with brand partners

  • Interview notes when bringing on new members of your team

Creator Tip of the Week by @kbousq

One of the biggest struggles I have as a creator and that I hear from other creators is that they have a hard time finding new brands to work with. Maybe you’re already tapping into the brands that you know and love, but you need to brand out and find new brands.

If this rings true to you, I have the biggest secret to tell you. Those brands are already presenting themselves to YOU... via ads!

If you are being served an ad on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc. and your audience is anything like you, chances are they also would love access to your audience.

So the best thing you can do? Pay close attention to the brands that are serving you ads.

Then, use Notion to track all of those brands on a Potential Brand Partner tracker. On my tracker, I like to keep track of the category of the brand in comparison to the topics that I talk about, the status of our potential partnership and when I did that latest action, the platform that I connected on, and who I connected with.

When you click on the brand’s name on your list, you can also even add more information about where you first discovered them so that when you go to connect with the brand, you’re able to call that out directly.
