Fresh Faces and Features: Your January Notion Update

It’s a little late to wish you all a Happy New Year, so we’ll go ahead wish you all a “congratulations on making it to the end of the longest January ever!”

2024 was the year of product updates, and you could argue that we flew a little too close to the sun on that goal. There is no way you could have kept up with all 95 product updates we shipped last year, so our team popped them all into a database so you didn’t have to. Our favorite is still the ability to crop images—sometimes, it’s the small things.

As we look toward 2025, the roadmap is exciting but also allows us space to build out our commitment to creators. That’s right, we’re looking at you! We have some exciting announcements coming out this year, just for creators, so you’ll want to watch this space over the next couple months so you don’t miss out.

We kicked off our year with a trip to our Dublin office, where we met with our European marketing counterparts to dream up some plans for this year. If you’re a creator in Europe, we’d love to hear from you!

Wrap Up: Notion Faces

You’ve probably seen it all over your LinkedIn feed, but we had to plug our Notion Faces campaign that went live earlier this month. We partnered with over 60+ creators on LinkedIn, including Jean Kang, Reno Perry and Luke Matthews. While we had a good number of paid partnerships run over the course of the campaign, we were amazed (and appreciative!) of all our users getting involved online.

If you don’t know the story behind Notion Faces, every employee at Notion receives a hand drawn illustration of their portrait to represent their internal persona. This started during the very early days of Notion, originated by our in-house illustrator, Roman Muradov. We wanted to give everyone in our community the chance to create their own portrait, made from Roman’s own art.

Notion Calendar Turned 1!

We launched Notion Calendar one year ago—and before it turns two, we’re going to bring Calendar and Notion even closer. Here are some features you can look forward to:

• Auto-generated meeting notes

• AI-generated meeting summaries, housed in both Notion and Notion Calendar

The start of the year sounds like the perfect time to try out a new calendar app 😉

Sign In With Your (Real) Face

You can now sign into Notion with Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN. Not having to type in a password three times because you can’t remember which one you used is my favorite kind of productivity hack.
